WALK & ROLL- A-THON

Our Walk & Roll-a-Thon is a great way to get outdoors with friends, family and pets to help raise much-needed funds for resident care. Proceeds from the 2016 Walk & Roll-a-Thon will be directed to the Shalom Courtyard campaign. The Shalom Courtyard is an outdoor space that is set apart for the purpose of spending time with God.

The 2016 Walk & Roll-a-Thon takes place on Saturday, June 18. Please come and join us, have breakfast and help to make a difference for our residents. Supporters are asked to participate by walking or rolling (in a wheelchair) with our residents and staff and their families around the beautiful Circle Drive Special Care Home grounds while raising funds for the Shalom Courtyard. Each lap is approximately 0.5 km and takes roughly 10 minutes.

Everything begins at 8:30. Join us for a pancake breakfast, entertainment by Ron and Friends and door prizes!

Rules

1. Participants may start collection pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets which are available at the Circle Drive Special Care Home office. Pledge sheets need to be turned in on Walk-a-Thon day June 18.
2. Pledges may be made by anyone and in any amount, although tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 or more.
3. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name LEGIBLY (so tax receipts can be issued), and pledge amount. Participants collect the pledge in advance and turn it in at registration the day of the walk.
4. Participants are encouraged to wear hats and sunscreen if it’s sunny or bring rain gear, if necessary.

 

30TH Anniversary Celebration

This year Circle Drive Special Care Home is thirty years old. Please come help us celebrate this milestone on Saturday, August 20 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The theme for the afternoon is “Thirty and Thriving”. Join us for games for the kids, group tours, refreshments and more!

Harvest Dinner Gala

Each fall Circle Drive Special Care Home hosts the Harvest Dinner Fundraising Gala, an elegant evening of sumptuous dinner, entertainment, silent auction and live dessert auction. This year entertainment is provided by Brenda Lee Cottrell. Check out her website at www.brendaleecottrell.com.

The date for the 2016 Gala is Friday, October 28 at the German Cultural Centre. Tickets for the event are $50.

All proceeds from the auction are used to enhance our high standard of residential care by funding additional nursing staff.
